HOW TO USE YOUR DREAMCATCHER
Traditionally the dreamcatcher was hung in areas where Native American children slept. Small dreamcatchers were sometimes hung from a child’s papoose. Today they are often hung in the window of a child’s room.
Legend has it that the Dreamcatcher web would catch a child’s dreams from Grandmother Moon, the negative dreams would remain caught in the web, the positive dreams would come through a feather or crystal in the middle of the web, creating clarity and spiritual protection for the child. At dawn the negative dreams would be cleansed from the web by the light of Grandfather Sun.
Dreamcatchers are said to assist individuals with chronic bad dreams and nightmares.
